He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Joseph Duplechain and Beulah Hebert Duplechain; and his siblings, Ervin "Pete" Dieutto, Leroy Duplechain and Roma Soileau.

He is survived by: his siblings, Charles E. Duplechain, Sr. (Jackie) of Arnaudville, Margary G. Fitch (Wilton) of New Iberia and Edie Nezat (Gene) of Morgan City; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Dieutto of Slidell, Gail Duplechain of Hessmer and Ronnie Soileau of Ville Platte.
