It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roosevelt Hardy Sr. of Port Barre, Louisiana, who passed away on August 29, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Margie Hardy; his parents, Lemon Hardy and Rosa Brooks Hardy; and his siblings, Leroy Hardy and Mae Ellen Hardy.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Hardy (Beatrice Zachary-Hardy) of Lawtell, LA, Roosevelt Hardy, Jr. (Janice Andrus) of Palmetto, LA, Rose Mary Thomas (Leroy) of Port Barre, LA and Gloria Andrus (Donald) of Port Barre, LA; his stepbrother Martin Adams of Opelousas, LA; his sister Caroline Jones of Port Barre, LA; his stepsisters, Jennie Simon of Opelousas, LA and Lovenia Nevills of Lake Charles, LA; and also, Mary Matt, Charles Jagneaux, Kendry Narcisse, Jerry Shelvin, Marian Sam, Herman Zachary, Allen Pickney, Curley Milburn and Please. He is also survived by thirty-four grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
