She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey George Rhymes; and her parent Whitten. She is survived by: her children, George Carroll Rhymes of Denver, Sarah Gail Schwab (Martin) of Seymour and John Michael Rhymes of Monroe; her grandchildren, Shannon Smith, Donna Freeman, Amy Anderson, Lori Ward, Bonnye Good, Christopher Rhymes and Kate Rhymes; and her sister Lorene Lawrence of Quitman.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Ouachita Parish Humane Society.
