He was predeceased by: his wife Linda L. Tweedel; his parents, Joseph Tweedel and Mary Eve Tweedel; his siblings, Horace Tweedel, Alma Tweedel Bourgeois, Mary Tweedel Brown, Steven Tweedel and Russell Tweedel; and his sibling-in-law Chewy.
He is survived by: his children, Tara Credeur (Randall) of Crowley, Shevonne Tweedel of Crowley and John Russell Tweedel of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Kaleigh Credeur Gibson (Chad), Joel Credeur, Carson Tweedel, Dylan Tweedel and Dustin Tweedel; his great grandchild Vivian; and his siblings, Jimmy Tweedel (Louise), Ethel Lee Tweedel of Lewisburg and Rena Guiterrez (Louis).
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel (900 E Texas Ave, Rayne, LA 70578). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (901 E Elm St, Crowley, LA 70526).
