With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Dean Lockwood of Rayville, Louisiana, born in Simsboro, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Earl Lockwood; her son Steve Lockwood; her parents, Jim Bartlett and Dovie Bartlett Raley; and her brothers, Wayne Bartlett, Alford Bartlett and Tommy Bartlett.
She is survived by: her daughter Dianne Huff (Perry); her grandchildren, Joshua Huff (Jessica), Shae Lockwood (Janet), Amanda Jackson (Kody), Emily Lockwood and Dylan Lockwood; her great grandchildren, Makayla Lockwood, Bryce Lockwood, Nash Wilhite, Kammie Jackson and Mavis Lockwood; and her sister-in-law Carol Ann Bartlett. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brown-Holley Funeral Home (603 Francis St, Rayville, LA 71269). A graveside service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Start Cemetery.
