He was predeceased by: his parents, Weyman Myers and Inez Myers; his brothers, Ernest, WJ and Jesse Myers; his brother-in-law George Dement; and his close friend Buford Pinder.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Charlene Myers; his sons, Robert Stroud (Marie), Donny Stroud (Toni), David Stroud (Cheryl) and Ted Stroud; his siblings, Dick Myers (Kathy), William Myers (Colleen), Dago Myers (Shirley), Liz Miller (Dave), Bertha Dement, Alice MaGee (George), Sue Moses and Margaret Martin (Yancy); his sisters-in-law, Lucindy Myers and Cindy Myers; and his grandchildren, Camille Roark (David), Jonathan Ray (Emily), Tonia Chaney (Dave), Chris Eddleman (Carla), Chasity Adcock (Jason), Cory Stroud, Bree Spillman (Ethan), Cody Stroud (Taylor), Nicole, Rae Rae Bakalis (Phil), Megan Barnes (Micah) and Brent Shaw (Jessica). He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Crews New Salem Baptist Church building fund.
