He is survived by: his children, James Michael Newsom of Ruston, Cathy Dianne French of Poquoson, VA, Patricia Ann Moody of Colbert, GA and Karen Sue Chapin of Freeport, FL; his grandchildren, Rebecca French Skolarus, Michael French, Elizabeth French, Lauren Moody Ligon, Emily Moody Bohannon, James French and Sarah French; and his brothers, Robert Lindel Newsom and Burgess Gomez Newsom.
