She was predeceased by: her husband Malcolm Hood, Jr.; her parents, Elinor Rebecca Harden and Cleve Harold Saxon (Jack); her sister Judy Knowles; and her stepdaughter Melissa Hood.
She is survived by: her daughters, Alissa Hood and Celeste Hood Cheramie (Kurt); her stepdaughters, Susan Hood Carter and Amy Hood LaCour (Monty); and her siblings, Linda Halley, Mildred Frost, Jackie Perritt, Mary Butler, Vicki Cummings, Cleve Harold Saxon, Jr. and Robert Clayton Saxon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for charitable donations to be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
