He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Pye Joynor and Elzie Lee Joynor, Sr.; and his siblings, Henry Ferguson, Billy Ferguson, Johnette Ferguson, Estelle Lee and Alverne Miglore.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Joynor; his children, Mike Joynor, Gary Joynor (Sandy) and Christy Walker (Leo); his grandchildren, Brandon Joynor (Elizabeth), Katelyn Rasmussen (Brandon), Nicholas Walker (Heather) and Alexander Walker (Elizabeth); his niece Frankie Harper; his nephew Johnny Ferguson; and his close friend Joe Stewart (Myra).
