He was predeceased by: his former wife Helen Kennimer; his daughter Kim Madden; his son-in-law Homer Madden; and his granddaughter Rebecca Madden. He is survived by: his wife Naomi; his children, Kevin Kennimer (Lisa) and Karen Skains (Mike); his stepchildren, Ron Robison (Andrea) and Priscilla Robison (DJ); and his siblings, Shirley Whitehead, Roland Kennimer, Claudine Greer and Donnie Kennimer.
