It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland T Decell (Ruston, Louisiana), who passed away on October 2, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert M. Decell and Thelma Thompson Decell; his son Richard Garland Decell (Ricky); and his brothers, R. D. Decell and Wilmer Decell.
He is survived by: his wife Dorene Skipper Decell; his sister Jean Decell Rugg of West Monroe, LA.; his children, Dottie Decell Brown of Spartanburg, SC, Judy Robeaux Bowyer (Steve) of Virginia Beach, VA and John A. Robeaux (LaDonna) of Downsville, LA; his nephew Ken Rugg; and his grandsons, Jason and Justin Brown. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ruston Military Museum or a charity of your choice.
