He was predeceased by: his children, Arnold Knotts, Steven Knotts and Rosedale Kinman; and his granddaughter Deidre Pippin. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Kay Goss-Knotts; his daughter Bettye Bollman (Greg) of Minden; his stepson Stephen Tarbutton (Jackie) of Ruston; his sisters, Helen Shrell (Harold) of Newton and Ruth Dusan (Jim) of Newton; his grandchildren, Kristi Knotts Schwegel (Brian), Patricia Pippin, Amy Pippin Morvant (Josh), Brittnee Pippin Ford (Adam) and Archie Pippin (Amanda Nichols Pippin); his great grandchildren, William Morvant, James Morvant and Henry Morvant; and his grandchildren, Bryce Tarbutton and Brittain Tarbutton. He is also survived by his parents; an infant brother.
