It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Jim (Ruston, Louisiana), born in Dodson, Louisiana, who passed away on March 11, 2018, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Jerri Lou Sears Gallagher; his children, Kelly and Jim Gallagher (Shannon); his grandson Tyler Thompson; his great grandchild Dustin Thompson; his siblings, Dickie McGee (Jo) and Patty Ellen Burkhardt (Joe); and his brother-in-law Bill Sears. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In 1968, he married the love of his life, Jerri Lou Sears, and in 1968 they moved back to Ruston where he opened Gallagher Tire Service and was in business for 35 years until he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
