She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Cuff Wynn and Gladys Vela McCullar; her former husband John Otis Mills; her husband Marion Dale Baxter; her siblings, Emory Lee Freeman, Evelyn Glass and Climmie Beardon; her grandson Johnny Dale Mills; and her children-in-law, Manuel Lee Ward, Barbara Diane Mills and Barbara Lynn Mills.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine "Kathye" Ann Ward of West Monroe, LA, Tammie Mills McCann (Gary) of Ruston, LA, John "Johnny" Henry Mills (Betty) of Homer, LA and Otis Dewayne Mills (Debra) of Ruston, LA; and her sister Margaret Crotwell of Brusly, LA. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Baxter, her family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
