She was predeceased by : her parents, Willard Sweet and Velma Sweet of Potter County; her husband Leroy L Mayer Sr.; her son Earl P Mayer (Karen); her siblings, Paul Sweet (Kay), Robert Sweet, Fredrick Sweet (Kathy), Gary Sweet and Onolee Sweet; and her close friend Delores Brock.

She is survived by : her children, Leroy L Mayer Jr. (Michele), Sheila K Mayer Larabee (Terry) and Paula Mayer-Campiere; and her close friends, Rachel Scagnamillo, Mary Ann Marse and Silva Verdun.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Life Worship Center (18295 LA-16, Port Vincent, LA 70726). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
