She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Pitre and Theresa Mesa Pitre; and her sister Kathy Long. She is survived by: her husband Michael Fresina; her daughters, Tess Kisner, Sara Arceneaux, Kelly Cherry and Kori Wingerter; her grandchildren, Adrianah, Rikki, Sarren, Balin, Brodie, Bryson, Owen and Oakley; and her siblings, Sandy Rivet and Johnny Pitre. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
