It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen J. Blanchard (Saint Martinville, Louisiana), who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Miranda Perioux Blanchard; his parents, Olden Blanchard and Bernice Latiolais Blanchard; and his sister Annette Huval. He is survived by : his children, Cory Blanchard (Marcy), Kayla Blanchard Garritt (Rickie) and Casey Blanchard; his grandson Cole Blanchard; his stepgrandchildren, Seth Thibodeaux, Christopher Bergeron, Taylor Garritt (Caroline) and Hannah Garritt; his great grandchildren, Kinsley Garritt, Braxton Bergeron and Vivian Garritt; his siblings, Marshall Blanchard (Patsy), Carol Blanchard (Mary), Lillian Suire (Wilton "Ki Ni") and Evelyn Barras; and his brother-in-law Timmy Huval. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Rita Catholic Church (1006 St Rita Hwy, St Martinville, LA 70582). A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at the Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
