He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Lou Breaux; his parents, Eliere Breaux and Olivia Picard; his grandchildren, Bridget Leger and Rene Breaux; his brother Joseph Dudley Breaux; and his adoptive parents, Luphiade Broussard and Polly Schexnayder.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis J. Breaux, Jr. (Tammy), Paulette Romero (Butch) of Lafayette and Catherine Breaux of Lafayette; and his grandchildren, Roddie Hebert, Casey Lopez, Kaleb Breaux, Anna Marie Breaux, Evan Richard, Jade Leger (April) and Payton Broussard. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
