Alice left this world on October 1, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arch Cates Henderson and Lois Turner Henderson; her husband Homer Covin Sistrunk; her brother Bertie; and her sister-in-law Kay Henderson.
She is survived by: her son Scott Sistrunk (Lei); her grandchildren, Chalet, Grant Williams, Chelsy, Stephen Green, Palei Escobar and DeAndre Walpool; her great grandchildren, Reahei Walpool, Ashlyn Williams, Riley Green, Adam Williams, Roycei Walpool and Avery Green; and her sister-in-law Lynn Shoalmire. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rose-Neath Funeral Homes - Shreveport Southside (2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, LA 71118). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home (2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, LA 71118). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Forest Park West Cemetery (4400 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Alice's memory.
