We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2023, at the age of 91, Betty S. Strickland in Shreveport, Louisiana, born in San Antonio, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James Smith and Mary Smith; her husband Bennie Ray Strickland; her son Bennie Allen Strickland; her siblings, Elaine Hamrick and Wilbur Smith; her granddaughter Melinda Fisher; and her great grandchild Serena Jordan.

She is survived by : her children, James Michael Stickland (Anne) and Charlotte Holland (David); and her grandchildren, Shana Stickland, Heather Rosario (Johnny), Jason Holland, Richard Strickland (Heather) and Casey Griffin (Lena). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
