It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Loraine (Buser) Gust of Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Buser and Loretta Buser. She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Christine (Simon) of Westminster, Colorado, Kevin (Andrea) of Austin, Texas and Karen of Shreveport, Louisiana.; her grandchildren, Calvin, Dominic, Claire, George and Lucy; and her sister Agnes Melton (Paul) of Wichita.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church (1050 W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests that donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul society c/o St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church.
