It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Albert Frantz of Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Lockard Frantz and Rose Brown Frantz; his wife Elaine Malloy Frantz; and his brother Brownie Frantz. He is survived by: his children, James M. Frantz, Gregory Earl Frantz, Patrick Joseph Frantz, Mary Rose Frantz Watson, Timothy Gerard Frantz, Charles Albert Frantz, John Edward Frantz and Margaret Jewel Frantz; and his grandchildren, Rachael Bird, James Frantz, William Frantz, Erin Zopolsky, Caitlin Aurand, Christian Frantz, Audrey Furnas, Sarah Hutchings, Patrick John Frantz, Tori Blevins, Tanner Blevins, Tara Blevins, Zackary Watson, Madalyn Watson, Savannah Frantz and John Patrick Frantz. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Saint John Berchmans (939 Jordan St, Shreveport, LA 71101). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
