He is survived by: his wife Margaret Annette Knotts; his children, Stephanie Scruggs, Kristie Weeks and Sonny Weeks; his grandchildren, Carson Handley, Greer Handley, Rae Scruggs and Noah Scruggs; his daughter Susan Wells Jenevein (Bob); his grandchildren, Margaret Anne McCutchan, Elizabeth Wells McCutchan and Robert Connor McCutchan; his sister Martha Wells Perser; and also, Lucia Miller and Adelaide Phillips.
