She was predeceased by: her spouse Dr. W. H.; her parents, Henry Pope Elder and Anna Shannon Elder; and her siblings, William Henry Elder and Anita Elder McAdams.
She is survived by: her daughters, Candy Carroll Peavy (Pat) and Shannon Carroll Sale (Frank); her grandchildren, Henry L. V. Bond, Lauren Michaels Wolfe (Jason) and William Wynton Michaels; her stepgrandson Michael Thompson Peavy; her great grandchildren, Sloane, Cohen Wolfe and Presley Michaels; and her stepgreat-grandsons, John Patrick Peavy and Michael James Peavy.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home (1815 Marshall St, Shreveport, LA 71101). A reception was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
