He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene Seva Day; and his son Mark Douglas Day. He is survived by: his children, Jesse Day (Susan Levy Day) of Pembroke Pines, Florida, Seva May (Byron May) of Shreveport, Louisiana and Jamey Day (Sherry Brooks Day) of Fredericksburg, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Jason Day, Carson Pedraza (Danny Pedraza), Dr. Blake May (Katherine May), Logan May (Deanna May), Rann Day (Taylor Day), McKinley Day, Hayden Day (Rachel Day), Kendal Day, Taylor Day and Bailey Day.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen and Allen Funeral Home (110 W Hansell St, Thomasville, GA 31792). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dawson Street Baptist Church (1025 N Dawson St, Thomasville, GA 31792).
