John Paul Oswalt Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 7, 2025, at the age of 70, John Paul Oswalt of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paul Oswalt and Evelyn Penton Oswalt; his former wife Donna Oswalt; his son Bryan Oswalt; his siblings-in-law, Ray Pellegrin, Chris Pellegrin and Chris Ann Pellegrin; and also, Carroll and Mickey Pellegrin.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Hadlee Pearl and Thomas Rush; his wife Linda Oswalt; his daughter Mallory (Avalon Holloway); his daughter-in-law Ellodie Oswalt; his daughters, Laura Carter (Blake) and Katie Moroni (Mark); his grandchildren, Hadlee Moroni and Thomas Carter; his brothers, Gordon Oswalt (Gala), Rick Pellegrin (Debbie), Daniel Pellegrin, Sr. (Lilia), Bobbie Carlson (Randy) and Joe Pellegrin (Cyllene); and his sons-in-law, Jarred Pellegrin, Joel Pellegrin, CJ Pellegrin, Andrew Pellegrin, Alan Pellegrin, Daniel Pellegrin, Jr., Todd Pellegrin, Jacob Carlson, Eric Carlson, Stephen Carlson, Mark Moroni and Blake Carter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Methodist Children's Home.
