He is survived by: his children, Renee Cockrell Davis, Larry Cockrell, Bob Cockrell, David Ryan, Clay Ryan, Jeffrey Cockrell, Nurse Betty Bishop, Dr. Serrant, Rocky and Meredith. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
