It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Allen Knight of Slidell, Louisiana, born in Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on December 10, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Earlene Stack Knight and Barney Troy Knight; his brother Barney Conroy Knight; and his stepmother Meta Knight (Adams). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Erwin Knight; his children, Gene Allen Knight II and Sara Knight-Mong (Matthew); his granddaughter Grace Anne Knight; his siblings, Troy Odell Knight (Katherine) and Judy Bierlein (Scott); his sister-in-law Linda Knight; his stepsiblings, Kennie and James Eastwood; and his mother-in-law Betty Erwin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
