He was predeceased by: his wife Kris Whelan; and his parents, Frank Whelan and Hattie Whelan of San Diego. He is survived by: his sons, Michael H. Whelan Jr. (Crystal Whelan) of Mounds and Robert A. Whelan (Marianne Whelan) of Mandeville, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Patrick Ramos (Sara Ramos), Matthew Whelan, Alin Whelan, Ashley Whelan and Thomas Whelan; his great grandchild Asher Michael Ramos; and his brother Howard Whelan (Robyn). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
On Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation starting at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made on line to the Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson's Research.
