She was predeceased by: her parents, Avanelle Charles Pichon and Juanita Marie Galatas Pichon; her husband James Jay "Jimmy" Nunez; her child Leighton James Nunez; her grandchild Elisha McCurnin Elijah; and her siblings, Eunice Faciane, Kenneth Pichon and Yvonne Hover.

She is survived by: her children, Juana Anne Nunez Plaisance and Lee Durel Nunez (Gwen); her grandchildren, Jessica Wood, Jennifer Nunez, Jared McCurnin, Colleen McCurnin Mensi, Justin Nunez and Katie Pachmayr; her sister Deborah Pichon Clewis; and her sibling-in-law Edrel Pichon.
