He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Jean Owens Fontaine; his son Raymond G. Fontaine, Jr.; his parents, Eura Voorhies and Jean P. Fontaine; and his brothers, Jean P. Fontane and Lenhard Fontaine.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Vincent Monnin Fontaine; his children, John P. Fontaine (Karen Lima) of Ponchatoula, David S. Fontaine of New Orleans and Stephanie Fontaine Davis (Don) of Ridgeland; his daughter-in-law Mary Helen Fontaine of Covington; his grandchildren, Lindsey Fontaine Orkus (Gregory) of Mandeville, Mary Madison Davis of Salida and Wyatt W. Davis of Ridgeland; his great grandchild Mary Kate Orkus; his stepchildren, Gary Monnin (Christine), Keith Monnin (Karen), Cindy Monnin Nuccio (Joey), Todd Monnin (Trish) and Michelle Fethke (Shannon); and his stepgrandchildren, Katie Reidell (Matt), Vincent Monnin (Liz), Brittany Preble (Sean), Dane Monnin (Alison), Kristen Smith (Nate), Danielle Roussel (Adam), Kimberle Trowbridge (Richard), Beth Rochelle (Jared), Brandy Mulherin (Jimmy), Paige McCullough (Zachariah), Victoria Monnin, Whitney Lyons and Colton Fethke.
