She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeff Newton Brown and Icy Faye Brown; and her siblings, Terry Brown and JoAnn Brown. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Joseph Lindsay III; her children, Christy Pickering (Brent), Jeffery Scott Lindsay, Jenny Bell (Brehm) and Abby Lindsay; her sister Betty Mize; her grandchildren, Lee Smilek (Emily), Lindsay Smilek, Stephen Lindsay, Kathryn Lindsay, Emily Reid (David), Austin Bell, Connor Bell (Karolyne), Blake Bell and Daley Bell; and her great grandchildren, Caroline Smilek and William Smilek.
