Lay in Slidell, Louisiana, born in Biloxi, Mississippi, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Lercy P. Lay; and her brothers, Jimmy Owens and Clifton Lay. She is survived by: her mother Ola Mae Miller; her sons, Johnathan Lay and Dae; her siblings, Vivian Pratt, Mary Edwards, Josephine Pratt, Victoria Cameron (Clive) and Mark Lay; her son Quon Pratt; her godson Maurice Stegall; and her nieces and nephews, Vernetra Pratt, Natasha Pratt, Chantele Lewis-Jenkins (Brian), Jairus Pratt, Jermont Powell, Kimball Jones, Shaquille Powell, Lionel Pratt and Lance Cameron. She is also survived by her sisters, the kind hearts of her brothers, the boss attitudes of her nieces, the strength of her nephews.
Vernatta A. Lay died at Slidell Memorial Hospital of Covid-19.
