It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Theresa Simpson of Slidell, Louisiana, who passed away on February 15, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Mae and Rudolph Norman Russell Sr.; her husband Elias J. Simpson; and her siblings, Dorothy Johnson, Lula M. Jackson and Joseph Sawyer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cassandra Russell Hardy (GA), Elisha Simpson (LA) and Natasha Simpson (GA); her grandson Michael St. Augustine Huff (GA); her siblings, Barbara Waiters (WV), Cynthia Milligan (AL) and Rudolph N Russell Jr. (PA); her siblings-in-law, Roy Lee Jackson (AL) and Theresa Sawyer (FL); and her close friends, Lutricia Sykes and Toni Davis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
