He was predeceased by : his wife Elvina "Shootsie" Schexnayder; his children, Ella Breaux (Ronnie) and Ronald "Tubby" Schexnayder; his parents, Ernest Schexnayder and Lillian Louviere Schexnayder; and his siblings, Teresa Schexnayder, Ophelia Chauvin, Clarence, Perry and Percy Schexnayder.

He is survived by : his sons, Donald Schexnayder, Kelvin Schexnayder (Wanda) and Tim Schexnayder (Jill). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
