He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Barbara Lee Clark Hyatt and Willie Elton Hyatt of Starks; his siblings, Elton Hyatt (Jackie Sue Stewart), Homer Ray Hyatt (Lorraine) of Starks, Linda Hyatt Richard (Rick) of Starks, Carolyn Sue Hyatt Wolf (Arthur Wolf) of Starks, David Elwood Hyatt (Mary Roachell Chavers) of Starks and Michael Lynn Hyatt of Lake Charles; and his daughter Amanda Lanell Hyatt Deen (Keith Deen, Jr.) of Starks. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
