He was predeceased by : his parents, Eddie Wood, Sr. and Betty Wood; and his granddaughter Savannah Reese. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Wood; his children, Chad Wood, Brad Wood and Jessica Reese (Trey); his siblings, Buddy Wood and Debbie Wood; his grandchildren, Carley Wood, Cooper Reese, Brooke Wood, Piper Wood, Logan Reese and Emaleigh Wood; and his niece Hannah Jerkins. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home (2308 Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA 71203). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mulhearn Funeral Home - Monroe (2308 Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA 71203).

Memorials may be made to New Light Baptist Church or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
