She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Chappell and Thula Chappell; her former husband Marlon McPherson; her daughter Kim Patrick; her granddaughter Amber McPherson; and her siblings, Voree Walters (Leland), Cloteal Harris Ezell (Rex), Billy Jean Chappell, Norman Chappell, Betty-Zane McConnell (Bill), Syble Magee (Carl), Sonya Elizabeth Chappell, Wanda-Ann Swilley (James) and Carolyn Johns Kennedy (Barney).
She is survived by: her husband Buddy Ashley; her children, Marlon McPherson Jr. (Sonya) and Patti Zeigler (Tim); her grandchildren, Leanne, Addison (Devin) and Sydni (Garrett); and her great grandchildren, Cade, Marlonya, Kai, Sarah, Jayden, Nevaeh and Emerson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as extended family.
