He is survived by: his wife Patricia Shirey Stevens; his children, Richard, Walt and Anna Claire; his grandchildren, Ayrton Ralston, Laney Williams and Ellie Stevens; his sister Jane Clair Brown (Ronald Keith); his nieces, Chrisanna Saums (Robert) and Averie Brown (Adam); his brothers-in-law, Steven Shirey, David Shirey and George Shirey (Debbie); his sibling's children, Amanda Shirey, Presley Shirey, Jordan Branch, Ty Shirey (Emily), Jackson Saums, Walt Saums, Ross Brown, Rhett Brown, Liam Shirey and Roman Shirey; and also Skipper.
He entered his eternal home on July 7, 2018 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
