We are sad to announce that on August 19, 2021, at the age of 70, Ganer Lee Newman III of Sunset, Louisiana, born in Rayne, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ganer Lee Newman, Jr. and Gladys Marie Vincent. He is survived by : his wife Paulette Newman of Sunset; his children, Ganer Lee Newman, IV (Carrie Guggenmos) of Bowling Green, KY, Nelson Stelly Newman of Sunset, Hayley Newman Hoffpauir (Steve) of Lafayette, Heather Newman of Sunset and Emily Newman of New Orleans; his grandchildren, Ben Hoffpauir, Grace Hoffpauir, Jake Hoffpauir, Sam Hoffpauir, Caitlin Hoffpauir and Genevieve Hoffpauir; and his siblings, Carl Newman of Opelousas, Patricia Bercier (Edwin), Jackie Ancelet of Lafayette and Suzette Mader (Charles Timothy Mader) of Lafayette.

Due to the current COVID19 pandemic, the family respectfully asks that mask be worn at all times and social distancing be practiced.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations in the name of Ganer Lee Newman, III be made to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns Monastery of Mary, Mother of Grace in Lafayette, LA by mail 1250 Carmel Dr., Lafayette, LA 70501.
