She was predeceased by: her husband Earnest E. "Buddy" McElwee; her daughter-in-law Darlene Cavanagh McElwee; her parents, Marcelin "Choe" Johnson and Engelle Boudreaux Johnson; and her siblings, Waverly Johnson, Lelia Johnson Cooper, Daniel Johnson, Leroy Johnson and Wallace Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth (Annie McElwee), Keith (Darlene McElwee) and Karl McElwee of Alexandria; her grandchildren, Jeremy McElwee, Eric McElwee, Travis McElwee, Daniel McElwee, Chelsie McElwee Morse and Ashley McElwee Pahanka; and her siblings, Joyce Johnson Cooper of Cottonport, Mary Johnson Keel Turner of Cottonport, Clarence Johnson of Las Vegas, NV. and Paul Johnson of Mesquite, NV.. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchild, friends.
