She was predeceased by: her parents, Abbie Savant and Loycie Thompson Savant. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Shipp (Kellie), Kevin Shipp (Danielle), Hope Shipp Fontenot (Ryan) and Heather Shipp Perritt (Lawrence); her grandchildren, Bevan Dupre (Nicole), Seth Shipp (Caroline), Logan Shipp Manuel (Trent), Lyndsey Fontenot Swonke (Cameron), Cody Shipp, Lauren Shipp Santoro (Matthew), Gabrielle Fontenot, Abigail Dupre LaCombe (Taylor) and Ellis Shipp; her great grandchildren, Hadley, Andi, Parker, Weston, Blair, Sutton, Kasen, Jace, Rhett and Baby LaCombe; her brother Robert Savant (Elaine); and her husband James Blake Shipp Jr.. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brenda's memory to the Chapel of the Resurrection in Whiteville — a place that brought her comfort and community.
