He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Junior, Zola Deville, Aliday and Carrie Fontenot. He is survived by : his parents, Emery Fontenot and Kathy Deville Fontenot of Bayou Chicot; his son Devin K. Fontenot of Texas; and his siblings, Chad Fontenot (Angela Fontenot) of Bayou Chicot and Melanie Lafleur (Joey) of Bayou Chicot.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (709 W Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church (1012 W Dardeau St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the MB Fontenot Cemetery (213 SE Railroad Ave, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
