He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilson Mayeaux and Lou Ann Guillory; his stepfather Walker Ward; and his parents-in-law, Zachary Fontenot and Berna Fontenot.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara Mayeaux; his sons, David Scott Mayeaux of Metarie, Dr. Stacy Wayne Mayeaux (Jackie Susan) of Opelousas and Martin Brook Mayeaux (Heather) of Shreveport; his grandchildren, Sydney, Caden, Amelia, Connor, Mason and Annaleise; and his siblings, Randall Ward Mayeaux (Donna) of Eunice and Shirley Hodges (Harrold) of Crowley.
