He is survived by: his wife Camille LaFleur Fontenot; his daughter Mary Beth Fontenot of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Celeste Alouisse Fontenot of Lafayette, Len Douglas Xu Fontenot of Lafayette and Jax Randall Chen Fontenot of Lafayette; his daughter Alice Frances Fontenot (Mary Lane Boswell) of Norfolk; and his grandson Eli James Fontenot of Thibodeaux.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (709 W Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A rosary was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church W Main (1220 W Dardeau St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A burial was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (708 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
