With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jennifer Kay Sylvester Fontenot of Ville Platte, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jennifer Kay left this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 71, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Una Lee and Chester Sylvester, Jr.; and her parents-in-law, Percy and Elsie Fontenot. She is survived by: her husband Darwin James Fontenot; her children, Rachel Fontenot Wyble, Adam Sylvester Fontenot and Beaux Percy Fontenot; her children-in-law, Kristen Toca Fontenot and Travis Wyble; her grandchildren, Adrienne, Amelia (William), Ashton, Reno, Aidan, Rex, Gracelee and McCoy; her great grandchild Luca; her siblings, Chet (Paula), Ted (Terri), Jeffrey (Catherine), Tim (Allison) and Lisa (Frank); her sister-in-law Terri; and her in-laws, Carl (Gayle) and David (Magretta). She is also survived by 80 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Chapel of the Resurrection Whiteville. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the Resurction (132 Par Rd 5-235, Bunkie, LA 71322). A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
