He was predeceased by: his parents, David Jones and Odessa Jones; his daughter Lynette Gaunichaux; his sisters, Thelma J. Aisola and Alice Mae J. Merrill; and his brothers-in-law, Elton Aisola, Sr., Nehemiah Mullen and Gussie Washington.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria G. Jones; his siblings, Wilmer, Rene, Rose Mary Jones, Mildred J. Washington, Alma J. Mullen and Genevieve J. Ross; and his children, Cynthia Green, Cynthia Armstrong, Denise Ross, Louis Jones, Jr., Michael Martin, Ronald Gaunichaux, Patricia Gaunichaux, Mary Holmes, Cynthia Washington, Kevin Polly, Sr. and Tashira Leonard. He is also survived by five grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
