He was predeceased by: his parents, John Upchurch and Audie Upchurch; and his siblings, William Lee Upchurch, Joe Upchurch, Irma Dean Lewing, Iama Jean Johnson and J. D. Upchurch.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ada Mae Stanford, Gaylord Upchurch, Josephine "Tommie" Parker and Johnnie Faye Hale; his former wife Mabel Dickerson; his wife Mable Upchurch; his daughters, Reba Parker (Ricky Parker) of Oil City and Doris Goss (James Goss, Jr.) of Vivian; his grandchildren, Sherry Barry (David Barry), Kevin Parker (Amy Farmer), Lindsey Stevens (Brian Stevens) and Cody Goss (Courtney Goss); his great grandchildren, Tyler Goss, Grisham Parker, Addison Stevens, Talyn Goss, Sophie Goss, Carter Stevens and Kate Goss; and his great great grandchild Olivia Goss.
