She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Lester Owens and Ruby Alta Jackson Ellis; her brother Leon Kay Owens; her grandsons, Aaron Thomas Harper and Evan Gabriel Carter; her brother-in-law Thomas Gale Gaumnitz, Sr.; and the father of her children Thomas Rayburn Cook.
She is survived by : her nephews, Thomas Gale Gaumnitz, Jr. and Donald Gene Owens; her sister Carolyn Elaine Owens Gaumnitz; her daughters, Celeste Carolyn Cook Drost (Joe) and Kristi Alise Cook Carter (Tracy); her grandchildren, Christopher Jeston Harper (Mackenzie), Alise Yvonne Carter Ward (Jonathon), Emily Celeste Harper Grassi (Joseph), Cole Jefferson Carter, Jackson Spencer Carter and Adam Thomas Harper; and her great grandchildren, Joseph Ray Grassi, Eowyn Jeanette Harper and Baby Jett Grassi. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren.
