He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillard Samuel Lowdermilk and Louisa Barbara Jones Lowdermilk; and his siblings, Marjorie Louise Cochran, Martha Sue Chandler and George Earl Lowdermilk.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Elizabeth Lowdermilk Conrad (Claude) of Kingwood, Texas, Dr. David Murphy Lowdermilk (Kathleen) of Grand Saline, Texas and James Samuel Lowdermilk (Dianne) of New Braunfels, Texas.; his grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Conrad Kaider (Gregory), Corbin Eugene Conrad (Elizabeth), Rebecca Ann Lowdermilk Cole (Jason), Jody Rae Lowdermilk Mirike (Andrew), Ginger Lynn Lowdermilk Morris (Noel), Meghann Nicole Lowdermilk Hemberger (Matthew) and Morgan Brett Lowdermilk Whitmore (Stephen); his great grandchildren, Ashton Brett Hale Kaider, Caroline Elizabeth Kaider, Keaton Matthew Kaider, Brayden James Kaider, Isabella Louise Kaider, Damien Alexander Conrad, Sierra Marie Conrad, Samuel David Cole, Faith Mishael Cole, Murphie Jane Mirike, Jessie Paige Mirike, Wesley James Mirike, Addison Rae Morris, Layla Grace Morris, William Noel Morris V, Molly Reese Hemberger, Mason James Hemberger, Myles Beckett Hemberger and Weston James Whitmore; and his wife Dorothy Louise Rikard. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
